WHEN: here's a question that i couldn't take any longer so i researched for a definite answer. When is boot season?! i just get so excited for it but obviously wearing boots out of the designated boot season is a serious issue and it drives me crazyy when people do it... yes i know this sounds crazy and ridiculous but it's really something that i find very important. last month there was a lady wearing over the knee leather boots with skinny jeans. uhh... it's summer. i was so annoyed. (again, i'm crazyy..) so i did some research and here's what i found:
Boot Season Start Date: Fall. End of August, beginning of September.
-what I personally think: Sounds a bit early to me... but that's what i found. Personally i think since we live in AZ, that's too early. it's too hot to be wearing knee high boots with skinnies, it's still in the 90's by September. i think with ankle length boots, (combat style <3 august="august" boots="boots" can="can" d="d" date="date" dresses="dresses" earlier="earlier" early="early" even="even" fine="fine" full="full" go="go" i="i" in="in" instances.="instances." late="late" leather="leather" length="length" like="like" my="my" october.="october." or="or" p="p" personal="personal" s="s" say="say" september.="september." shorts.="shorts." some="some" start="start" that="that" think="think" this="this" those="those" though...="though..." to="to" was="was" wear="wear" with="with" year.="year.">
Boot Season End Date: May 1st technically. cut off date of pants/leggings with knee high: Beginning of March.
-Personal opinion: okay... I think May is way too late. it's in the high 90's in AZ's May. I wore boots and leggings and a big sweater and scarf to school on Valentines day this year... most embarrassing day of my life. i almost left early to go change. but it was cold and rainy! i dunno, i would definitely say cut off the knee high by April at the latesttt. and that's maybe once a week, with a sundress or shorts or something. no knee high and jeans past end of February i think. depending on the weather outside. Definitely don't go into May wearing boots please.... just embrace the season change and move on. As far as ankle boots go, just wear them logically. if it's 102 outside.. dont wear them with long pants... dress with the seasons, ya know?
okay moving on...
ti'm so sick of the typical, cheap suede, slouchy 40 dollar charlotte russe boots everyone wears..... here lemme find what i'm talking about...
these. i mean there's nothing wrong with that, i have a pair myself in brown (of course. i only wear brown). but there's just so much out there, guys. if you're going to spend money on boots, have fun with it. or another type i cant stand...
okay... don't be offended if you own one of these styles. i'm just crazy and havestuff made up in my mind that i cant explain. i just dont like these. i dont get it. like, yeah i think they're cute, but i dont know what to wear with them.... skinny jeans and a plaid flannel? i just dont really dig ankle boots... especially ankle cowboy boots. just get full length ccowboy if you're gonna go down that road... that's just my personal opinion.
WHERE:so here's a problem i have struggled with a lot in my life. i want boots. so i run to the first store i can think of, and buy the cheapest boots there. and i dont really like them, i just buy them because i'm cheap and desperate. then i force myself to wear them even though it's really dfficult to find stuff to match them and i dont really like them at all. trust me for a sec, boots are something worth investing good money in. a good pair of boots will change your life. i personally go for the combat/military style... (makes me feel BA) or the knee high, rider boot style. but if slouchy and suede is what you prefer, go for that i guess. but a good pair of combat boots will change your life, i promise. so have up 35 bucks (not even bad) and invest in one of these. sooo... recently my friend stumbled across this marvelous website with decently priced boots. and it's changed my life. here's some of my favorite findings.

i want to throw up. please dont wear these. i'll admit.... a couple years ago i tried really hard to be all hippie/indie (now they call it hipster, but that's a new phrase) and back then i would have loved these. but let's be real here. these are ugly. with the right outfit, they might be okay but i cant put together an outfit for them, therefore they're not worth the effort. Aria probably could.... stupid aria.
