Recently, i have been very interested in the 1900's history. it's absolutely amazing! i love everything about it. 1900-1970 was glorious in every way. this last semester in my American history class, we covered like 1700, 1800's... blek. i just dont really like it at all. and then, of course, right before break we started in on world war 1. now that's more like it. and this is going to sound dumb, but i absaolutely love the fashion trends during this time too. and i have always loved movies that are supposed to take place during these times. for example, cinderella man, the notebook, that thing you do, flyboys, pearl harbor, titanic (might be late 1800's?), anything great depression/world war 2... LOVE it. so today i rented this random redbox movie called Midnight in Paris. i only got it because it has rachel mcadams... but to my great delight, it happened to take place partically during the 20's. well how perfect is that! and therefore, it inspired me to do some research on 1900's fashion trends. here you go, enjoy.

So did you like Midnight in Paris? I have also considered renting that. I really love the first half or so of the 20th century too! I kind of think it's because they really cared about their appearance. Nobody (at least in pictures) walked around in their pjs with no hair and makeup done. They had to be proper and presentable. The exception to that, of course, is when the hippies came along...

midnight in paris was okay. kind of weird, but not bad. i just liked it because it took place during the flapper age! i completely agree with you, people cared about what they looked like. and i like that. and it was just fun!
